History: Native to South India, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia, Vetiver has a long history of practical, aesthetic, and medicinal use. In India, Vetiver grass is used to make blinds that cool a house in summer; the blinds are periodically sprayed with water, allowing the signature cooling scent of Vetiver to be released when a breeze passes through them. Since the scent repels insects and rodents and promotes restful sleep, it was a natural choice in the making of bedding. Today, Vetiver is used in 90 percent (!) of all Western perfumes and colognes. This product sold for aromatherapy purposes onlyPerfect for use with our Ceramic Oil Burners as well.
