It blends well with sandalwood, rose, violet leaf, jasmine, opopanax, patchouli, oakmoss, lavender, clary sage, mimosa, cinnamon, and ylang-ylang. Spiritual Uses: One of Vetiver?s main strengths is its inherently grounding nature, and it is valuable to those seeking magickal/spiritual stability. It is believed to promote love, especially in same-sex couples, and is therefore often used in love magick. It may be used to promote restful sleep and offer protection in the dream-world from nightmares or malevolent spirits. Blends well with: Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Lemongrass, Rose, Grapefruit, Clary Sage, Patchouli, and Sandalwood. History: Native to South India, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia, Vetiver has a long history of practical, aesthetic, and medicinal use. In India, Vetiver grass is used to make blinds that cool a house in summer; the blinds are periodically sprayed with water, allowing the signature cooling scent of Vetiver to be released when a breeze passes through them. Since the scent repels insects and rodents and promotes restful sleep, it was a natural choice in the making of bedding. Today, Vetiver is used in 90 percent (!) of all Western perfumes and colognes. This product sold for aromatherapy purposes onlyPerfect for use with our Ceramic Oil Burners as well.
