Jasmine Absolute Oil 5ml

This is a true Jasmine absolute. Because of its purity this product is only available in 5 ml size.

Botanical name: Jasminum Grandiflorum
Color: Medium-light amber
Consistency: Thick
Perfumery note: Base/middle
Related Planets/Deities: Venus/Moon/Night/Artemis/Vishnu
Aroma: Rounded, earthy, floral, complex, warm, sensual
Energetic Properties: Romantic, relaxing, sensual, grounding

Aromatherapy Properties: A viscous, dark orange-brown liquid with a warm, richly floral aroma with tea-like undertones. It blends well with clary sage, rose, sandalwood and citrus oils. Only use in very small quantities. A vast quantity of blossoms, which must be gathered at night when scent is at highest, are required to produce only a few drops of this oil.

Spiritual Uses: One of the most well-known and revered scents throughout history, Jasmine has long been used as a key ingredient in love magick. Its association with sexuality and, perhaps more accurately, romantic love, -- and the fact that the Jasmine flower is picked at night when its aroma is strongest -- lends it well to moon magick. It also is sometimes used in the celebration of platonic friendship.

Blends well with: Other sensual floral oils such as Rose and Sandalwood. Also mixes nicely with Clary Sage, Clove, Bergamot, as well as other citrus oils.

History: The history of Jasmine stretches far back into the ancient world. The name is derived from the Persian Yasmin, meaning fragrant flower. It was likely brought to Egypt before the XXI dynasty (circa 1,000 BCE), and was worshipped by Chinese emperors. The Moors brought Jasmine to Spain in 1600 ACE, and from there it spread to all of Western Europe. The Jasmine flower still has great religious and spiritual significance, especially in India where garlands of it adorn the entrances to temples. Certain varieties are held as sacred to Vishnu.

This product sold for aromatherapy purposes only
