Aromatherapy Properties: An inky-blue viscous liquid with a strong, sweetishwarm-herbaceous odor. It blends well with lavender, patchouli, rose, benzoin,neroli, bergamot, marjoram, lemon, ylang-ylang, jasmine, clary sage andlabdanum.

Spiritual uses: Chamomile has long been used in dreamwork; inhale from an oil burner, dilute in a bath before bed, or even place a few drops on your pillow to promote lucid and vivid dreaming and restful sleep. History: The word chamomile comes from the Greek χαμαίμηλον (chamaimēlon) meaning earth-apple. Native to Europe and naturalized as a weed in North America, Chamomile is one of the most storied plants in the world, and the essential oil was being used medicinally as far back as 1599 (to treat colic). It was used in ancient Egypt to combat fevers resulting from malaria, and in Rome to treat headaches and urinary tract infections. Today, it is included in the pharmacopoeia of 26 countries around the world.
