My OBE's started when I was 15. I had only experienced the vibrational state a few times, but it was the scariest thing that had ever happened to me. I have had 10 or more experiences since then. I have been able to control and sometimes induce these experiences after reading a book called, "Adventures Beyond The Body."

I learned that I definitely do not need to be afraid when this happens. My past few OBE's have been pretty amazing. I have not been able to venture very far away from my house, but I can tell that I am getting better at it. I will tell about my latest experience, and I also have a couple questions I would like to ask that I will put at the end.

I was trying to take a nap while all these little kids were at my house making a ton of noise. I had a dream that I was on the computer  and all of the sudden this window appeared that was downloading some sort of virus. I tried to restart my computer by  hitting Ctrl+Alt+Delete. I was hitting it a bunch of times and I  remember all of the sudden being in my bed and I was trying to push those keys on my pillow. I realized what I was doing and thought about what a strange dream I had just had (or maybe I realized I was in a dream because it did not make sense).

I decided to try to go back to sleep.

Right as I felt myself fall asleep I felt the vibrations. I could still hear the kids yelling and I thought this would disrupt the experience. I decided to get up and go tell them to be quiet.  I looked at myself in the mirror before I went out the door. I walked  into the livingroom and my little brother was sitting on the couch. I asked him where the kids were and he told me they were down the hallway.

I started to walk towards the hallway and my brother said,  ""I wouldn't go back there if I were you."" I decided not to and as I was walking back to my room I noticed how weird I felt. I started to think that maybe I was not even really awake and I was out of body. I  felt very light and bouncy. I thought that maybe I should try to do something crazy since everything was clear and I would move well (usually when I am OB I cannot walk or see that well unless I ask for clarity.) I stood with my back to a wall and I jumped as high as I could. I was able to stay in the air long enough to tilt my body forward so I was parallel to the floor.

I then pushed myself off of the wall with my feet and glided forward in the air. I started to slow way down and everything started to get blurry. Then part of a poster  in my room next to my bed went across my vision. I focused on the image and everything kinda morphed into focus as the wall in my room and I realized I was actually awake.

1. Is it weird that it sometimes seems like I wake up from an OBE without even opening my eyes?

2. Is it possible to see non-phisical beings that resemble people who are still alive?

In a hospital in Switzerland in 1944, the world-renowned psychiatrist Carl G. Jung, M.D., had a heart attack, then a near-death experience. His vivid encounter with the Light, plus the intensely meaningful insights led Jung to conclude that his experience came from something real and eternal. Subsequently, as he reflected on life after death, Jung recalled the meditating Hindu from his near-death experience and read it as a parable of the archetypal Higher Self, the God-image within.
