This section of IAmShaman is devoted to our growing database of experience reports, whether they're natural experiences such as lucid dreaming, spontaneous out of body (OOB) experiences, near-death experiences (NDE), or experiences induced by various teacher plants and entheogens. There is a growing body of evidence that is providing hard experiential evidence of an underlying commonality in relation to altered states of consciousness, especially when it's in relation to Shamanic ones. Shamans and mystics are not the footnotes in history that the mainstream makes them out to be, and thanks to a number of brave scientists, archaeologists, and researchers, this fact is coming to light in ways history has never known. So join in, share the most meaningful of your visionary experiences, and let's see if we can discover an underlying thread between all of them. Either way, this section of the website, as well as the Visionary Outsider Art Galleries are here to give our friends, customers, and visitors a secure and anonymous (if desired) place to be heard and seen. Also, if you've got questions you want answered that go beyond Customer Service questions, you can always pose a question on the IAmShaman Blog as well. |

Amber Wells was a student at the University of Connecticut and wrote a research paper based on her study of the near-death experience for her senior honors thesis under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Ring. Her paper was published in the Journal of Near-Death Studies in the fall of 1993. In her study, 70 percent of the same of near-death experiencers demonstrated belief in reincarnation. In contrast, a Gallup Poll found that only 23 percent of the general population endorse this belief. |
