 I am very grateful that this old hippie has read many posts relating to salvia in the different sections of this site. I had never experienced it before and after my various experiences with other mind altering substances over the years, I clearly knew that respect was of the essence. I investigated, learned the do's and don't's, invested in various forms of salvia, and waited until I sensed the time was right.

 People have often complained to me that they can't get "high" from Salvia, even after they smoke it several times. I believe that this is for no other reason than Salvia divinorum is a Shamanistic experience in the truest sense of the word and completely UNLIKE the innumerable "quick fix" drugs that are everywhere today.

| I was lying down in bed, relaxing/ meditating trying to shut out the noises from the cars, taking a break in the middle of the workday essentially...I got into a very relaxed state, and pulled the comforter over me.....I looked at the alarm clock and fell asleep, all of a sudden I felt like I was having a dream within a dream is the best way to explain it.

And then, something weird happened. My body started tingling and vibrating very strongly. Behind my closed eyes, I could see an imaginary hand that I could move independantly of my physical hand. I also noticed a sharp whistling sound. Startled and annoyed by the situation, I opened my eyes and decided to come out of this state, which was difficult because of the temporary physical paralysis. |
