Simply put: We
can no longer keep up with the demand for our Kratom products, so instead of
having them on perpetual backorder, we had no other choice but to raise the
price to lessen the number of orders we get for these products. After a
great deal of careful contemplation, we decided that we would much rather have
fewer orders that we are able to fill completely than a pile of orders that we
can't. We pride ourselves on our same day shipping, and at this rate, we
would no longer be able to honor one of the cornerstones that sets IAmShaman
apart from everyone else.
But, despite this, our prices for these Kratom products are still lower than our competitors.
We hope to find more suppliers, and we hope to be able to get more Kratom than
we could ever hope to sell, but that is not the situation at the moment.
It is a constant battle to fill the demand for this product; a demand that seems
to increase on a daily basis. The good news is that we are working on a
Standardized 10:1 and 20:1 Powdered Kratom extract that will be superior to any
of the Kratom products presently available, but it will not be ready for another
few weeks.
Until then, we had to find some way to lessen the daily flood of orders.
We tried removing all advertising, but that did little to stem the flow, and as
a result, we had to raise the price on our Kratom products, or we would run out
of the supply in just a small amount of time.
Also, as with ANY herbal product, there are only a certain number of plants that
can be harvested; it's often easy to forget that Mother Nature is the ultimate
supplier of our products. We refuse to buy from any supplier who does not
ethically harvest their plants and their trees, so this reduces our options for
sources to purchase any of our products from. But it is our commitment to
quality and our passion for these wondrous plants that inspired us to start
IAmShaman in the first place, and we would rather have far fewer orders if it
meant that we were able to still completely stand by our commitment to buy
products that are ethically or sustainably harvested.
We understand that this will probably lose us some Kratom customers, but our
shop was not built on and doesn't solely rely on our Kratom sales. We are
a vast and diverse resource for a great number of curious and rare botanicals,
and it may actually be a welcome relief to not have our days focused solely on
trying to find a way to fill the demand for Kratom. We love all the plants
that we offer equally, and want to encourage people to explore the other
botanicals that we adore, such as Kava Kava and Whole Leaf Kanna.
So, sorry for the price increase, and thanks for understanding. Know that
we continue to do our absolute best to bring you the best products at the best
prices; we never forget that if it weren't for our treasured customers that we
wouldn't be here in the first place. That's why we are excited about our
new Standardized Kratom Extracts that will be available in the near-future.
It will hopefully remove all the confusion about all the different Kratom
products that are available today, and provide our customers with a reliable and
less expensive product to enjoy.
