Trueno is another name for black caapi. Black is said to be the most potent of all caapis, this is what my bushmen told me. Our supplier went on to say that he had no further details for us, but that they said the dream is also different. And we couldn't agree more. With a passionate belief in the power contained within each plant, B. caapi is perhaps home to some of the more vocal plant spirits. This, alongside our Young Red Vine from McKenna's farm, is at the top of our list for the most powerful caapi we offer here at the shop. B. caapi is also referred to as Ayahuasca Vine and has been the center of much controversy. There is nothing illegal inside of B. caapi vine, regardless of the species. The fact that it's called Ayahuasca Vine is a reference to the medicinal drink that's made from it, typically with plants such as Chacruna or P. viridis. Those are the plants with the active alkaloids in them, the B. caapi is the part of the medicine that makes the medicinal drink orally active.
